Thoughtful Therapy for life’s most challenging moments
My Approach
Every person and every family is different, which is why I believe treatment should never follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Before jumping into solutions, I take the time to understand what is really driving the problem by looking at it from multiple perspectives. My experience working in residential treatment, schools, homes, and outpatient therapy allows me to develop practical, individualized plans that fit each client’s unique needs. As both a therapist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst, I enjoy working beyond the therapy room—collaborating with families, schools, and other professionals to help create meaningful, lasting change.
Why I do this work
I’ve always been drawn to helping people navigate challenges and find practical solutions to difficult problems. Throughout my career, I noticed that many individuals and families were receiving support across home, school, and therapy—but those efforts often felt disconnected. That realization inspired me to create Tonucci Therapy with a more collaborative and individualized approach that brings those pieces together whenever possible. My goal is to help clients and families feel understood, supported, and confident that everyone is working toward the same meaningful outcomes.
Experience and Credentials
Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and professionals across schools, residential treatment, outpatient therapy, and home-based services. My graduate training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Special Education, and Applied Behavior Analysis, combined with experience across these settings, has shaped the collaborative, practical approach I bring to every client. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw from each of these disciplines to understand the whole picture and tailor treatment to the unique needs of the individual and family. Whether we’re addressing anxiety, behavioral challenges, school concerns, or life transitions, my goal is to provide thoughtful, evidence-based support that leads to meaningful, lasting change.
